Vaccine passports have been introduced in England via the NHS app, which now includes a ‘domestic’ section that declares users’ vaccination statuses.
In the section it reads “You may need to show your NHS Covid Pass at places that have chosen to use the service”.
Boris Johnson announced last week that people attending nightclubs and other large event venues will need to be fully vaccinated from the end of September.

It’s thought that vaccine passports might be necessary for entry.
Here’s how to find your vaccine passport on the app.
How to find your vaccine passport on the NHS app
The vaccine passport can be found on the NHS app – not the NHS Covid app, which is different.
If you’re over 16, you can get it via your phone’s app store, or via the NHS website.
Once logged in, you can choose between the “domestic” and “travel” pass options, which generate QR codes that last 28 days.
If you or someone you know can’t access the app, you can request a letter by calling 119 instead. This shows your vaccination status, and has no expiry date.
The Government hasn’t explicitly said where the passport might be needed, but it’s thought that football stadiums, nightclubs, and university lecture halls may use the system.
Dominic Raab, the Foreign Secretary, confirmed that the public would be given advance warning before any changes were introduced.
