Here is your Leeds United transfer round-up for Sunday, January 16.
Rodrigo linked with Leeds exit
A report in Spain claims that Rodrigo has told Marcelo Bielsa that he wishes to end his time in Leeds and return to Spain.
The 30-year-old has struggled for consistency and momentum at Elland Road since his record £26million arrival back in 2019.
Spanish outlet El Nacional claim Barcelona are interested in bringing the forward back to Spain, with the forward willing to take a pay cut at the Nou Camp as he eyes a spot at the World Cup this year.
Barcelona’s sporting director, Mateu Alemany, knows Rodrigo from their time spent together at Valencia and is said to be confident in striking a deal.

Leeds target going nowhere
Blackburn will not allow Leeds target John Buckley to leave Ewood Park in January.
Sky Sports reported interest from the Whites and Burnley for the 22-year-old midfielder, who has been a staple of Blackburn’s successes this season.
Buckley has played all but one of the Rovers’ league games as Tony Mowbray’s side push for Premier League promotion after a decade outside the top flight.
Asked about the prospect of players leaving, Mowbray told Lancashire Live: “There’s always potential. I’m just dealing with reality.
“I work closely with Steve (Waggott), Suhail (Pasha) and Mark (Venus) and we’ll try and do the right thing for the club and try and make the tough decisions if they have to be made.”
Muriqi on the move?
Leeds are plotting a loan-to-buy deal for Lazio striker Vedat Muriqi, according to Italian outlet Corriere della Sera.
The Whites are reportedly in the market for a striker this month due to Patrick Bamford’s injury concerns.
Last season’s top scorer has played just once since September 17 as a toothless Leeds side have struggled in front of goal – scoring just 21 goals in 19 games.
Now, reports on the continent claim Murqi has been identified as the man to cure Marcelo Bielsa’s attacking headache.
While the 27-year-old boasts a solid goal return in Turkey, his record since joining Lazio has been far from impressive.
Muriqi has netted just twice in 43 appearances since joining the Rome giants in 2020.
