YouTuber Danny Malin went to one of the most popular Greek takeaways in Leeds in a bid to try their infamous gyros.
Tavassolis on Briggate, in Leeds city centre, is a casual cafe bar and grill serving authentic Greek foods – and it has rave reviews so it was no surprise the funny man couldn’t wait to try it.
When the Rate My Takeaway star arrived at the restaurant the staff recommended that he try the mixed special gyros which included pork and chicken as well as tzatziki sauce, salad, chips and halloumi.

For his side dish, Danny opted to have a portion of halloumi fries with a selection of homemade dips.
He then ordered a bottle of water to wash it all down with.
Danny put up his table and chairs outside the shop while he waited for his food to arrive – and his soaring popularity in Leeds was clear to see as countless passers-by stopped off to get a quick selfie.

Danny then explained that the eatery had been voted as the best takeaway in Leeds on Just Eat for a “few years in a row”, so he had been wanting to try it for a while.
When his order arrived Danny decided to try the halloumi fries first and was impressed at their size – noting that they were “fat wedges of cheese”.
Next up he opted to try the gyros – which was a ‘make your own’ style wrap, with all the ingredients laid out ready for Danny to assort into a wrap.

Danny said the bread was “soft and warm” and that the meat had a delicious “smoky flavour” – he said altogether in a wrap it was “absolutely gorgeous”.
He went so far to say it was one of the best gyros he had ever tried – noting the meat is to “die for”.
For desert Danny had an “amazing” classic Greek baklava.
And the restaurant came out on top when it came down to Danny’s rating.
Very impressed with his meal Danny opted to give the restaurant a “bang on 10” out of 10.
